Dear Parents and Carers,
As part of our English unit this term, Year 2 classes will be going on an excursion to Wildlife HQ at The Big Pineapple.
At Wildlife HQ, students will have the opportunity to visit various animal enclosures to research a variety of animals to learn about their diet, habitat and other interesting features. This information will be useful in completing their English assessment which is to write an information report on an animal.
The cost for this excursion will be $33 per student, which includes admission to the zoo and bus transportation.
All year 2’s will be going on Thursday the 10th of August.
Students will be departing the school at 9am and returning at 2:30 pm.
We will have morning tea and lunch at Wildlife HQ. Students are asked to bring their morning tea and lunch packed in their school bag. Please also pack adequate water for the day, perhaps consider packing two water bottles. There is no need to bring any spending money. Students will need to wear usual closed in school shoes, full school uniform and hat.
